She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Buchanan and Lucille Buchanan; her husband Bruce W. Garland; and her stepfather Ernest Ellis. She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Neil of Kingsport, TN; her sisters, Margaret Baker (Arthur) of Bakersville, NC, Kay Woody of Bakersville, NC and Vicki Lewis (Thom) of North Wilkesboro, NC; her grandchildren, Jakob Neil, Whitney, Wendy, Jonathan and Bradford Garland; and her great grandchild Isaiah Garland.
