She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Sevier and Loretta Lawson Compton; and her sister Nellie Lawson. She is survived by: her daughters, April Collings (Matt) and Misty McFarland (Adam); her granddaughters, Alissa Kindle (Shane) and Haylee Townsend (Nick); her great grandchildren, Raelynn Gragg, Beckham Gragg and Kehlani Jones; her siblings, David "Russ" Compton, Donnie Compton (Merinda), Paul Compton (Joy), Dannie Compton (Gina), Bruce Compton (Kathy), Artie Compton, Daisy Carroll (George), Dollie Spears (Ricky), Denise Compton and Shonta Compton (Mark); her brother-in-law Rufus Lawson; and her cousin Nancy Collins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
