She was predeceased by: her son Michael Dustin Dykes (Dusty); her siblings, Melissa Dawn Slogar and Timothy Wayne Byrd; her parents, Vivian A. Dykes and Eugene Byrd; and her stepfather James Dykes.

She is survived by: her sons, William Justin Dykes, Brandon Ketron and Daniel Ketron; her brothers, Randal Byrd and Joey Byrd; and her close friend Violet Carter. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
