It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Diane Soltess Ball of Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Benham, Kentucky, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Augusta and Helen Palko Soltess; and her brother Thomas Michael Soltess. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Ball (Dan); her sons, Daniel Ball II (Diana), David Ball, Michael Ball and Fred Ball (Sara); and her siblings, Cathy Sweazy (Ed), Joanne Monhollen, Mary Kaye Stallard (Doug) and Joe Soltess. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (2517 N John B Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, TN 37660). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM and at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37604).
