He was predeceased by: his siblings, Belva, Bertha, Nella, Della, O'dene, Marvin and Harry; and also, 1 miscarried grandchild and 1 miscarried great-grandchild.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Strickler Harless of Knoxville; his children, D. Phillip Harless (Tammy) of Knoxville and Virginia "Jeannie" L. Miller (Jim) of Oak Ridge; his grandsons, Brandon D. Phillip Harless (Catie), Jordan W. Harless (Casey) and William "Will" E. Miller; and his great grandchild Archibald "Archie" P. Harless.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
