He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Townsend; his son Paul Townsend; and his parents, Robert Townsend and Marie Townsend. He is survived by: his brother Jeff Townsend; his grandchildren, Ashley Russell (Eddie) and Benjamin Townsend (Tasia); his great grandchildren, Landon, Taliah, Zane, Aubree and Zion; and his friends, Brooke Patrick and Tim Pullon.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evangel Family Worship Center (1928 Bloomingdale Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the East Lawn Memorial Park (4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664).
