David J. Franklin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David J. Franklin of Kingsport, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin and Doris Steed Franklin; his daughter Jan Hornsby; his brother Allen Franklin (Joan); and his stepgrandson Carley Ashton Peace.
He is survived by: his children, Andy Franklin (Charity) and Angie Wilson (Kip); his grandchildren, Matthew Hornsby, Alisha Hornsby (Justin), Cody Dixon (Misty), Rebecca Dixon, Ossie Franklin, Wyatt Franklin and Elias Franklin; and his stepchildren, Sherry Rhoades and Jerry Fulmer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Funeral Home (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
