He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hartnagle and Madeline Durant Hartnagle; and his siblings, Anita Hartnagle, Karen Beshand and Douglas Hartnagle.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hartnagle; and his son Darryl. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
