With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Herbert Horton of Kingsport, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Horton and Callie Horton; his wife Peggy Horton (Samples); his siblings, Pleas Horton, Otis Horton, Vergie Blair and Sue Stapleton; his brothers-in-law, Denver Blair and James Stapleton; his in-laws, Robert and Mary Samples; and his nephews, Chris Horton and Randel Blair.
He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Anderson (Randall) and Letha Lane (Randy); his grandchildren, Tiffany Jothen (Peter), Austin Anderson, Seth Lane (Lydia) and Emily Lane; his great grandchild Amelia Grace Jothen; and his siblings-in-law, Drusilla Horton, Willie Horton and Wayne Samples (Evelyn).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans (P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301) in memory of Mr. Horton.
