He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Louise Sobel. He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue Sobel; his children, Martha Leigh Sobel of Winston-Salem, NC and Gordon Davis Sobel of Hilton Head, SC; and his grandson Eli Davis Sobel of Bluffton, SC..
