He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Dyer and Emma Lee Edwards Dyer. He is survived by : his wife Louise Dyer; his siblings, Dan Dyer and Betty Byard; his daughter Tammy LeRoy; his granddaughters, Sunshine Grindstaff and Amber LeRoy; and his great grandchildren, Kendra, Mykalah, Lyla Grindstaff and Damon Jenkins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home (418 W College St, Jonesborough, TN 37659). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Monte Vista Burial Park (1900 E Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601).
