He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Greenwell; his stepmother Parlee Greenwell; his brother Randy Greenwell; and his sister-in-law Emily Winegar. He is survived by: his wife Linda Winegar Greenwell; his daughters, Angela Garst (Johnathan) and Stephanie Greenwell; his stepgrandson Matthew Garst; and his brother-in-law Bob Winegar (Shelley). He is also survived by nieces and family; and several aunts.
