He was predeceased by: his parents, Medford Carson and Mildred Shipley Carson. He is survived by: his wife Robbie Shull Carson; his sons, Brad Rowe (Lauren) and Nick Rowe (Laura); his grandchildren, Addy Rowe, Eastham Rowe, Joseph Rowe, Hallen Rowe, Simon Rowe, Vada Rowe and Sullivan Rowe; and his siblings, Gayle Carson (Teresa), Sheila Gouge (David) and Gary Carson (Betty). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
