He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Pickering of Jonesborough and Fern Pickering of Jonesborough; and his grandson Garrett Lee Layman. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Lee Pickering, Jr. (Karla) of Greeneville, Karen Burns (Danny) of Hoover and Kathy Carney (James) of Thompson Station; his stepdaughter Holly Layman (Marty) of Farragut; his brother Mack Pickering (Becky) of Jonesborough; and his grandchildren, Coti Martin, Zachery, Ethan, Mason Carney, Noah Burns and Olivia Layman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
