It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Elzea of Jonesborough, Tennessee, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Elzea and Marguerite Voss Elzea; his former wife Marilyn Beaver Elzea; his wife Mary Shannon Elzea; and his son Eric Michael Elzea.
He is survived by: his grandsons, David Elzea and Jared Elzea; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Elzea of Gray Tennessee; his niece Kristen Philbin; and his nephew Gordon Philbin.
