He is survived by: his mother Martha Hall Fitzgerald; his wife Delena Friesland Fitzgerald; his son Evan Fitzgerald; and his siblings, Michael Fitzgerald (Jeanne) and GayLynn Dye (Kevin Lookhart). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and family members.
