He was predeceased by: his parents, E. J. Shew and Kathleen Shew; his siblings, Jack, Bobby, David, Donald Shew, Shirley Hunter, Peggy Keplinger and Doris Gabbert; and his son-in-law Gary Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy B. Shew; his daughter Renee Richardson; his grandchildren, Austin, Logan Leach (Autumn), Garrison and Gavin Richardson; his great grandchildren, Raidyn and Rhemi Leach; and his brother Richard Shew (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boones Creek Christian Church (3639 Cherokee Rd, Jonesborough, TN 37659). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Those that prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Boones Creek Christian Church Union Campus youth.
