With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Shelton (Jonesborough, Tennessee), who passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Shelton and Violet Chapman Shelton; his former wife Carrie C. Shelton; his wife Agnes Collins Shelton; and his niece Alice Shelton (John Crawford).

He is survived by: his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Jerry Loyd; his grandchildren, Carrie Loyd Hardin and Richard D. Loyd (Charlene); his great grandchildren, Andrew Loyd (Alicen), Lucy Loyd, Olivia Hardin and Noah Loyd; his brothers, Harry Shelton (Bobbie) and Alan Shelton (Judy); his nephew Dean Shelton (Rebecca); and his nieces, Beth Sedam (Charlie) and Sally Johnson (Tom).
