It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Etta McCarty of Jonesborough, Tennessee, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Branson and Molly Branson; and her siblings, Judy Lusby, Mary Thompson, Jay and Orville Branson.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve McCarty (Kay), Ronnie McCarty (Angie), Tim McCarty (Lori) and Phil McCarty (Beverly); her brother Tom Branson (Jenny); and her grandchildren, Christi (Kenny), Michelle (Shawn), Lori Beth (Jeremy), Drew (Melissa), Amber and LeeAnn (Kahlil). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
