He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Smith and Mable Tipton Smith; and his siblings, Curt, Gene, Larry and Carolyn Guinn.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny, Edward, Michael Smith of Erwin and Christopher Ricker of Washington County; and his uncle Bob Tipton (Sarah). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and one granddaughter.
