John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Mynatt and Ruth Mynatt; and his brother Teddy Mynatt. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Mynatt; his children, Dawn McMurray (Trevor), Tammy Trivett (Billy) and John Mynatt Jr.; his stepsons, Jeremy Valentine and Justin Valentine; his grandchildren, Matthew McMurray (Angel), T. J. McMurray (Emily), Grace Mann (Evan), Trey Trivett, Courtney Mynatt and Izzabella Valentine; his great grandchildren, Addy, Kaidyn, Kamdyn, Riley, Jaxson and Kashton; and his siblings, Don Mynatt, Mary Glover, Jerry Mynatt, Dennis Mynatt and Joy Dupree.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home (418 W College St, Jonesborough, TN 37659). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37684).
