Joan King Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2021, at the age of 80, Joan King of Jonesborough, Tennessee, born in Erwin, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Byrd and Velva Willis Byrd; and her siblings, J. L., Kyle Byrd, Robbie and Doris Byrd.
She is survived by: her husband James King; her son Jeffrey King (Victoria); her grandchildren, Joy King, Riley and E. J. White; her siblings, Harold Byrd (Mae Bell), Olga Edwards of Erwin and Bertha Byrd of Erwin; her siblings-in-law, Alvin King (Jody), Gary King (Robin) and Diana Byrd; and her nephew Reverend Charles D. Byrd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Joan to: Canah Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Ladies Auxiliary, 704 Jonesborough Road, Erwin, TN 37650.
