We are sad to announce that on February 19, 2022, at the age of 92, Hathaway Rice Briggs of Jonesborough, Tennessee, born in Marshall, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bulo Rice and Rosa Lee Holland Rice; her husband Arnold Rush Briggs; her brother Hobert Rice; and her son-in-law Donald Bowers.
She is survived by: her children, Rena Bowers of Jonesborough, Linda Wood (John) of Gray and Ronald Briggs (Geraldine) of Gray; her brother Homer Rice; and her grandchildren, Keith Rice, Tina Balthis, Brian Briggs, Curt Sells, Kristy Hutchinson and Mark Rice. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
