With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Edward Lane Sr. of Jonesborough, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl George and Argie Lou Hammonds Lane; his wife Helen Lorraine Lane; and his brothers, Robert, James (Jim) and William Lane (Bill).
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Garber (Dondi Dolen) and George Edward Lane, Jr. (Brenda M. Lane); and his grandchildren, Waylen L. Garber, Jr. (Nikki), Brandon L. Garber, Kayla L. Garber, Bryant E. Lane (Carlee Lane), Michael R. Lane (April Lane), Wendi L. Skeens and Rebekah Honaker (Bryan Honaker). He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
