He is survived by: his wife Janet G. Hayes; his son Weston Patterson Hayes of Independence, MO; his stepson Melvin Nay (Cheryl) of Englewood, TN; his granddaughter Alexandra Hayes of Rheatown, MO; and his close friends, Gary Hotchkiss, Tracy Fleenor and David Egbert.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Janet Hayes to help cover funeral expenses.
