Bessie Marie Leonard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bessie Marie Leonard (Jonesborough, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Bill Leonard; and her siblings, Jay, Earl, Martin McCracken, Louise McCracken, Ruth Cannon and Mary Nell Burleson.
She is survived by: her husband Don Leonard; her daughter Kathy Howell; her grandchildren, Jeff Howell (Bekah), Jennifer McMahan (Jason), Rebecca Musgrove (Nathan) and William Leonard; her stepgranddaughter Amy Leonard; and also Sammy Howell. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Boones Creek Christian Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Washington County Memory Gardens.
