She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mack Evans, Sr. and Sabra Joyce Parsons Evans; her husband Steven Lynn Addington; and her close friend Kathryn Dugger-Edwards. She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Addington-Shanks (Adam Shanks) of Johnson City; her granddaughter Jocelyn Addington of Johnson City; her great grandchild Jack; her brother John M. Evans, Jr. of Johnson City; her father-in-law Jim Addington (Desi Sarelis) of Huntsville, Alabama; her close friends, Jerrie Sue Bowers, Joi Dance, Janet Widner and Claudia Shanks; and her pet Ray.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church (815 E 2nd St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Elizabethton.
