He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Willard Bennett; and his siblings, Brenda Campbell and Tommy Bennett. He is survived by: his mother Edna Lee Nickelson Bennett; and his siblings, Nancy Bennett, Christine Barnette (Steve Lyons), Cindy Smith (Eddie), Willard Bennett (Lisa), Lloyd Bennett, Eugene Bennett (Patty) and Eric Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
