He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Raymond Sutphin and Mamie Ellen Wilson Sutphin; his siblings, George "Bill" Sutphin, Raymond Edward Sutphin, Carl Bobby Sutphin, James "Jim" Sutphin and Helen Valerie Sutphin Guinn; and his niece Judy Carolyn Miller Bowman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Ann Sutphin Edwards of Johnson City and Richard Morgan Sutphin of Johnson City; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Sutphin of Johnson City and Joanne Sutphin of Unicoi.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 9:50 AM at the Roselawn Memory Gardens (3033 S Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
