He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dalton Morton and Sadie Hinkle Morton; his wife June Hill Morton; and his siblings, Claude James Morton, Sanford Morton, Velma Lipford, Mazie Davis and Lockie Oliver.
He is survived by: his great-nephew Richard Spradlin; and his great-nieces, Pam Rector of Hendersonville, NC, Barbara Rowland Edwards of Madison, NC and Sarah Rowland Campbell of Siler City, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:15 PM at the Happy Valley Memorial Park. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse for flood victims.
