He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Stout and Clara Ann Church Stout; and his wife Charlotte Jean Stout. He is survived by: his brother Jim "Butch" Stout (Mary); his children, Mark Stout (Becky), Gregory Mashburn and Rhonda Kelly; his grandchildren, Ashley Golden (Todd), Allen Mashburn, Matthew Stout (Trisha), Beth Golden (Chris), Dillon Stout (Ashlea) and Dakota Stout; his great grandchildren, Kyleigh Peterson, Lydia George, Paxton Golden, Emmaline Golden, Amelia Mashburn and Colton Ray Stout; and his pet Roscoe.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Home (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Maplelawn Cemetery (US-11E, Jonesborough, TN).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St Jude's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
