He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon and Mary E. Smith; and his wife Mary Virginia Orscheln. He is survived by: his children, Stanley Smith (Patricia) of Blountville, Stephen Smith (Karen) of Johnson City and Stacy Smith of Winter Garden, Florida; his grandson Joey Smith of Johnson City; his brother Harmon Smith of Flint, Michigan; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Wright of Topeka, Kansas and Marcella Bazin (Joe) of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
