He is survived by: his wife Shelia Swatzell; his stepsons, Joseph Smelcer (Jessica) and Joshua Smelcer; his grandchildren, Isaiah Morgan, Isabella Morgan, Mason Smelcer, Aubry Smelcer and Gavin Smelcer; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Purkey (Chris) and Michael Metcalf; and his aunt Linda Swatzell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
