He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mermon and Wanda Mermon; his sister Diane Trent; and his nephew Larry "Lou" Trent. He is survived by: his children, Brandie Frazier (Chad) of Bristol and Travis Mermon of Johnson City; his sister Charlene Whitaker of Greeneville; his grandchildren, Michael "Binks" Nelson (Kattie) of Johnson City, Alivia Mermon and Veronica Mermon of Johnson City; his cousin Timmy Edwards of Knoxville; and his aunt Jan Bowery of Bristol.
