He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Shipley and Bertha Shipley; his brothers, James and Norman; and also, Hildred, Joann and Bobby June.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Et Appalachian Funeral Home (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made in his name to the Washington County Animal Shelter or to the First Harvest Food Bank.
