She was predeceased by: her parents, Imogene Caughron Smalling Loveless and Hagan Price Smalling. She is survived by: her husband Col. Harry Lee Gibson; her son Dr. Chris L. Gibson; her brother John Smalling (Lisa Smalling); her nephews, Brad and Todd Smalling; her cousin Ralph Smalling of Johnson City; and her pets, Georgia and Ralph.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Church (200 E Mountcastle Dr, Johnson City, TN 37601). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 12:50 PM at the Fairmont Elementary Or Lake Ridge Elementary School (1001 Lake Ridge Square, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37684).
