He was predeceased by: his parents, Lem Slagle and Savanah Slagle; and his son-in-law Jerry McCurry. He is survived by: his wife Betty Slagle; his sister Dorothy Saylor; his children, Ruth Wells (Dwayne), Dixie McCurry, Penny Holley (Ric), Johnny Slagle (Becky), Ray Slagle (Tina), Cheryl Slagle, Roy Slagle (Dawn) and Bobby Slagle; his grandchildren, Bobby Carr, Sarah Dugger (Andy), Thomas McCurry Bruce (Cassie), Emily Hodgson, Jonathan Slagle (Kassee), Amanda Davis (Arron), Nicolle Wells, Karina Slagle and Ty Slagle; and his great grandchildren, Devin, Tiffany, Lindsey, Lucas, Malachi, Elizabeth, Brooklyn, Sophia, Pauline, Everly, Maddie, Natalie, Kayce, Greyson and Eliza.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boones Creek Christian Church (2684 Boones Creek Rd, Johnson City, TN 37615). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
