He was predeceased by: his father Fred McNeil; and his grandparents, Paul, Grace Arnett (Simerly), Wesley and Mae McNeil.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Arnett McNeil; his wife Carolyn Crumley McNeil; his sister Judy McNeil; his siblings-in-law, Tom Crumley, Sam McAmis and Johnnie Lyons; his close friends, Ken Potter, Jr., Cotton Stevens, Richard Sutphin, Jim McNeil, Eli Wiseman, Brent Fannon, Hampton and Sinking Creek Baptist Church; and his caregivers, Heather, Dr. Paul Benson, Dr. Kyle Colvett and Dr. Kanishka Chakraborty. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins.
