He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sherman and Rosa Lee Whittemore Jarrett; his stepmother Frances Sparks Lewis Jarrett; his son R. Dale Jarrett; his grandson Jacob Jarrett; his siblings, Florence Whitehead, Frances Helen Pate, Edna Crumley, Fred Jarrett, Foy Jarrett, Farrell Jarrett and Bud Jarrett; his stepbrothers, Carl Lewis and Dusty Lewis; and also Thelma Holt.
He is survived by: his wife Ina Howser Jarrett; his daughter Sheila Lundy (Mark) of Johnson City; his daughter-in-law Sharon Jarrett Humphrey (Donnie) of Johnson City; his sister Sarah Edwards (Garry) of Johnson City; his grandchildren, Jessica Jarrett Taylor (Chris) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Ryan Reynolds (Caitlin) and Lara Lundy of Knoxville, TN; and also, Lola Grace Taylor and Mayleigh Pierce Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church (200 E Mountcastle Dr, Johnson City, TN 37601). A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
