It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Jakes of Joelton, Tennessee, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jakes Sr. and Beedie Jakes; his sisters, Brenda Jakes and June Harrell; and his uncle Ellis Jakes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Johnna Jakes Perez (Richard) and Janeane Jakes Taylor (Jeffrey); his sisters, Linda Jakes and Dianne Jakes Porter (Earl); his grandchild Ashton Perez Meyn (Austin); his sisters, Drew Taylor (Shelby), Allyson Perez, Zac Taylor, Maddie Perez and Ryan Taylor; his great grandchild Levi Taylor; and his cousin Ken Jakes (Deena). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
