She was predeceased by: her parents, George Scruggs and Jewel Scruggs; and her son Gary Dale Hamilton. She is survived by: her husband Dallas Mathis; her daughter Tammy Setser; her sister Lucy Phillips; and her granddaughters, Tanya Hamilton and Rebecca Johnson. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
