He was predeceased by: his daughter Gina Lynn Carson; his granddaughter Michaela Jacklynn Carson; his parents, Lon Carson and Mamie Carson; and his grandmother Addie Potter.

He is survived by: his children, Christa Dawn Rogers, Trisha Carson-Hufford (Brian Keith Hufford), Christian David Carson (Ashley) and Michael Wayne Lyndell; and his great grandchildren, Waverly Miracle Carson and Brawler Alvie Carson.
