He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Underwood and Lillie Cannon Underwood; and his brother George Underwood. He is survived by: his children, Jon Underwood (Dawn) and Beth Higgs (Pete); his grandchildren, April Jones (Jessie), Sarah Bradley (Christopher), Jeffery Higgs (Melanie), Joseph Higgs (Kelley), Abreigh Nance (Brody) and Bryton Underwood (Megan Watson); his great grandchildren, Samantha Gorghis, Logan Jones, Wesley Bradley, Liam Jones and Lincoln Bradley; and his caregiver Shirley Shaffer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serenity House or First United Methodist Church, Jefferson City.
