She was predeceased by: her husband Frank L. Shumate; her parents, Willie Evans and Nelle Evans; and her brother Johnny Evans. She is survived by: her siblings, Helen J. Evans of Talbott, TN, Della C. Eckel of Rutledge, TN, Ann Dean of Seaford, Mildred Watson of Talbott, TN, Joyce Johnson of Talbott, TN and Charlie Evans of Athens, TN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
