James Luther Wright Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Luther Wright of Jefferson City, Tennessee, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Wright and Frank Wright; his son Fred Wright; and his brothers, Jack, Dee, George and Billy Wright.
He is survived by: his son Michael Wright (Frances); his stepdaughters, Janice Kerr and Nancy Lehr (Tom); his grandchildren, Taylor Lehr (Chelsea), Katie Smith (Shawn) and Gavin Wright; his siblings, Jean Maltba (Dan), Charles "Pop" Wright (Velma) and Clyde Wright; and his sister-in-law Ann Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fielden Funeral Home (910 Churchview St, New Market, TN 37820). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Fielden Funeral Home, Inc. (910 Churchview St, New Market, TN 37820). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (812 E Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Market Baptist Church Building Fund.
