As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Bishop and Helen Bishop; and his grandson Micah Slade Evans. He is survived by: his daughter Tonja Ellison (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cullison (Kam), Ty Ellison, Harlee Ellison, Lainey Ellison, Klaire Cullison and Klay Cullison. He is also survived by several cousins and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farrar Funeral Home - Jefferson City (411 W Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery (7925 Greenbriar Rd, Talbott, TN 37877).
