James Allen Hammer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2023, at the age of 80, James Allen Hammer of Jefferson City, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Hammer and Drama Hammer of Bean Station; his brother Dallas Hammer of New Market; and his brother-in-law Bill Lamb (Lillie Hammer) of Talbott. He is survived by: his children, Laura Dockery (Casey) of Dandridge, Tracy Hammer of Jefferson City and Amanda Barnes (Sean) of Virginia Beach, VA; the mother of his children Mary Hammer of Jefferson City; his daughter Samantha Blackburn of Florida; his siblings, Melvin Hammer (Kathryn) of Hermitage, Judy Lamb of Talbott, Mike Hammer of Bean Station and Pam Brantley (James) of Bean Station; and his sister-in-law Judy Hammer of New Market. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Mitchell Springs Baptist Church in Rutledge for Cemetery upkeep.
