George Luke Stapleton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Luke Stapleton (Jefferson City, Tennessee), who passed away on January 8, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Stapleton and Birdie Stapleton; his former wife Dorothy P. Jett; his wife Dot; his children, Dr. Luke Michael Stapleton and Angela Tullidge-Burgess; his siblings, J. A. Stapleton and Dorothy Walker; and his brother-in-law Mayford Jett. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Appalachian Outreach in memory of Luke.
