He was predeceased by: his parents, Brown Quarles and Nancy Line Quarles; his nephew Harold Wayne Quarles; and his siblings, Dene J. Quarles (Jenny), Joyce Morgan (Raymond), Royce Quarles and Laverne Quarles (Polly).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn O'Dell Quarles; his daughters, Patti Clement (Wayne) and Carol Monroe (Steve); his great grandchildren, John Rupert Black, James Fox Black and Monroe Elizabeth Feltman; his brother Fred Quarles (Bobbie); and his sister-in-law Nancy Quarles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church in Morristown, TN.
