She was predeceased by: her parents, Cordia Baxter and Jesse James Baxter; her children, Walter D. McCarter and Judy Shults; and her siblings, John B. Lola, Oscar, Everett, Ora, Lady Jean, Hazel, Clyde, Claude, Myrtle Lee and Clay.
She is survived by: her son Doyle L. McCarter (Iva); and her siblings, Donald Baxter, Sherrell Baxter and Louise Wardroup. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
